Your CNC workflow in four steps
From geometry to the finished NC program – What You See Is What You Get!
Import geometry
Open DXF drawings or STEP models. You can also create simple geometry directly.
Calculate toolpaths
Create classic and adaptive CNC machining operations.
Verify in the simulation
Inspect movements and material removal before machining.
Generate G-code
Export the NC program for your CNC controller.

Setup
Set the workpiece zero flexibly
Choose the workpiece zero directly on the geometry. The coordinate axes clearly show the active reference point in the 3D workspace.
- Select directly on the part
- Adapt it to the current workholding setup
- One reference for toolpaths, simulation and G-code
CAM
Classic and adaptive CAM toolpaths
Choose the machining strategy that fits your part.
- Contour millingInside and outside contours, multiple depth passes, holding tabs, 90° inside-corner relief and entry strategies
- Pocket millingClosed and open pockets with selectable entry strategies
- Adaptive contourMaterial removal along contours with more consistent tool engagement
- Adaptive pocketEfficient clearing of closed and open pockets, including islands
- Adaptive outsideAdaptive clearing of material around the outside contour
- FacingFlat machining of the stock surface in parallel passes
- DrillingDrilling cycles for selected holes with safe approach movements
- ChamferingChamfering and deburring selected part contours

Simulation before the first chip
Visualize toolpaths and material removal in your browser before exporting G-code.

Your design files stay on your device
All you need is an up-to-date browser. Whether you prefer Windows, macOS or Linux, your DXF and STEP files are processed directly in your browser. There is no cloud upload and no sign-up.
G-code and integrated postprocessor editor
Included postprocessors support GRBL, LinuxCNC, Mach3, MASSO, EdingCNC and Estlcam. Use the integrated editor to adapt postprocessors to your CNC controller or create and export your own.
- GRBL
- LinuxCNC
- Mach3
- MASSO
- EdingCNC

Frequently asked questions
Is Browser2CAM really free?
Yes! Browser2CAM is free and will stay free! If you would like to support me, please leave a like or subscribe to my YouTube channel: RUN CNC @ HOME. Teile deine Ergebnisse gerne in Foren oder CNC-Gruppen. Mehr Bekanntheit hilft, das Projekt zu finanzieren. Danke!
Do I have to install anything?
No. Browser2CAM runs directly in a modern web browser.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Your files are processed locally and never leave your device.
Which file formats can I import?
Browser2CAM imports DXF drawings and STEP models.
Can I save and transfer my projects?
Yes. You can export your complete project as a .b2cproj file, transfer it to another computer and import it back into Browser2CAM. The project file contains the geometry, setup, operations and the tools used. You can also transfer machines, custom postprocessors, tool libraries, machining profiles and personal settings as a .b2cbackup file. No user account or cloud storage is required.
Is Browser2CAM still being developed?
Browser2CAM is still at the beginning of its development and is continuously expanded and improved.
If you find a bug or something does not work as expected, I would be happy to hear from you. Your feedback helps make Browser2CAM better and more reliable step by step.
I don't like Browser2CAM – what can I do?
